Wow 36

ShrineWell yesterday I celebrated my 36th birthday and I am now ready to takeon 2011! This year in my blog I will be blogging about magic, techand stuff here in Japan. It now has been just over a year since I switched to Mac from windows and man I am happy at that change. As I posted last month I also bought an iPad which I love, not sure what I did without it. I will also have more time to work on some of my Internet Inspiremagic.com projects so keep a look out for some of those in in the next few months. Well now time to go and eat!

Introducing Inspire Magic

Inspire Magic

Inspire Magic

I would like to introduce the reworking of my parent company Aaron Jones Entertainment. I have changed the name to Inspire Magic to work better with my magic activities here in Japan and on the Internet. This web aaronjones.com site will stay the same and I will continue blogging as I normally do and update information on my shows etc. Inspire Magic will allow me to branch to other avenues of live magic performance as well as Internet magic content not to do with just my shows and activities. I will be updating the site with more content over the next while and I will have the Japanese sections up in the new week or so. There will be a section for Magicians and lots of other content for non-magicians. If you have some time have a look.

Been Busy Working On Something!

My New Something

My New Something

I am sorry I have not blogged in the past week or so. I have been busy working on a magic project of mine which I have been working on for a while. I have started to put a bit more time into it as I want to get a large part of it complete during next week as I am some free time to spend on it next week during Golden Week here in Japan. Today I completed setting up the basic web site structure for it up. Over the next few days I will be getting my content up for it and then open it publicly sometime next week. I have been posting about it on twitter a bit over the past week or so and people have asked me what it is. Well it’s not an effect or anything for sale for magicians but it may have some things like that in the way future. It’s mostly for non-magicians but it will have a section for magicians. The picture in the post is just a “tease” of the basic website with the name hidden ;) The site will be in both English and Japanese. Anyways time to get back to work. I will though have some new blogs and Magic AudioBoos up during this weekend!

Some Magic Stuff This Weekend

Me Performing In Takamatsu

Me Performing In Takamatsu

This weekend I have some magic things coming up. One is the monthly meeting of the Shikoku Magic Friends Club, which is always good. This month we will be working on some card magic from the Japanese Encyclopedia of Card magic, then some creative exercises to help our performances. Also This weekend I want to start making some videos that introduce magic related things here in Japan. I hope while I am in Takamatsu to record some video for this project of mine. I want to introduce some things that people outside of Japan may not get see. For example I will to introduce some magic bars, Japanese magicians, and magic events. Of course I will introduce these to the English speaking world. So let’s hope I can start these. I have been wanting to work on them for a while. There are also some other magic projects I will confer on with some of my magic buddies when I am in Takamatsu. I also need to send out my registration for the Shikoku Magic Convention in May. I want to make some videos while I am there as well if I can. Also in June there will be another magic bar competition at Bar Intiki Magician in June I believe, I will get more information about this on Saturday night and post the information on my site. Tomorrow I should have a magic related blog or magic AudioBoo posted, not sure which one will make it first!

Last Post of 2009!

Shikoku Magic Club Street Magic Show

As I write this there us just about 14 hours left for 2009 here in Japan. This his been a great year. One thing I am glad is that I got back into Social Networking. The reason why I did it was I missed the magic community back in Canada. I am involved in the magic community here on Shikoku but at the same time I missed doing some magic discussions in English. My Japanese is ok but when I try to talk about magic theory my meaning in Japanese goes out the window. So getting back to blogging here and talking with people on Facebook, Twitter has been great and keeping up with magic pod casts makes me feel like I am back in the loop. I was glad to discover that IBM publishes a digital version of the Linking Ring and SAM does the same with the MUM. Now I can keep up with the magician community news. I feel with all of this I am getting a really good international view of the magic community and I like this! I have reconnected with some old friends and made a lot of new ones. Now I am looking forward to a great 2010. Happy New Year Everyone!

Change!

Festival Show

Festival Show

I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday last week. Now I am getting ready for the new year. Well I made a big change I switched from a Windows computer to Mac. And so far I feel I made the right choice and not sure why I didn’t change before. I have new magic projects that I wanted to get a start on but now with the new computer I will be able to get them going.  I will be doing more AudioBoo’s as well I will be adding more video content in the near future. Now with the Mac I will be able to edit much better videos. Over the next week I will be setting up and getting my camera equipment set up. It will also be a better system to help me rehearse. I should have a new AudioBoo up today or tomorrow. I wish you all a Happy New Year!

This is a test for a Google Wave Plugin for WordPress. The plugin I found is here. If you have a Google Wave account and are logged in you should be able to see the Wave I have embedded below this part of the blog post.

UPDATE: This work but only those who are a participant in the wave can view it. It does not allow anyone to view the wave.

Removed the Wave as only I could see it.
