Japan Quake Day 2 March 12, 2011

Towns Gone...
Towns Gone...

Well is now been over 24 hours since the first quake and tsunami hit Japan. Once again I am safe and the area where I am was unaffected by both the quake and tsunami. This area may not have been physically affected but the the hole country as been emotionally affected. Earthquakes keep occurring all day and then there was the problems at the Fukushima Nuclear power plants. It’s been a crazy roller coaster ride thats not close to being over yet. I can’t even imagine what the people up north who lost everything yesterday are going through. The picture in this post is from Today’s (March 12, 2011) Yomiruri Shinbun. This is the back page and it says “Machi ga kieta…” which basically means “towns gone..” Watching TV during the day the aftermath is starting to show it’s face. Whole towns had been washed away, and there are places where only the foundations of houses are left. It’s just unbelievable. The rescues are still going on and then the clean-up will begin, then the rebuilding and it will be rebuilt but it looks as if it is going to be a long time. Anyways thats all I wanted to blog about today.
